Sunday, April 12
Get ready for a paw-some time at Windfest Woofstock! Bring your four-legged friends and join the fun at our Dachshund Dash, where speedy little pups race for glory (and treats!). Don’t have a Dachshund? No worries — all pets are welcome. For the safety and enjoyment of all attendees and smaller pets, Woofstock is best suited for small to medium, social dogs, and we kindly ask that larger or aggressive dogs sit this one out.
It’s a day full of fun, laughter, and community spirit — perfect for families, pet lovers, and anyone who enjoys seeing pups of all shapes and sizes stealing the spotlight. Treat your pets, snap adorable photos, and cheer on your favorites as Windfest Woofstock celebrates the joy of our furry friends!
Dachshund Dash
Sunday, April 12
Ready, set, woof! The Windfest Dachshund Dash is a beloved 20-year Windfest tradition and one of the most adorable (and competitive!) events of the weekend! Watch as dozens of determined dachshunds race to the finish line in this tail-wagging showdown of speed, spirit, and short legs.
Whether your pup is a seasoned sprinter or just loves to trot for treats, this is the perfect chance to show off their personality and have some fun. Spectators will love every second as these long, low racers steal the spotlight and hearts of the crowd!
Bring your cheering squad, your camera, and your sense of humor — Dachshund Dash XX is a Windfest favorite you won’t want to miss!
Registration is $15 per pup. Register online or at Woofstock. Dogs will compete in heats, with the winners advancing to the final round to determine the Dachshund Dash Champion! Winners receive trophies, doggie baskets filled with treats, swag and gift cards.
Kite Flying Expo
Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12
Soar to new heights at the Windfest Kite Flying Expo! Join Fly It! Kites for two days of colorful, high-flying fun. Watch the skies come alive with stunning kites and enjoy light up kites at night.
Fly It! Kites will have you watching kites dance across the wind-swept skies. It’s a perfect festival activity for kids, families, and anyone who loves seeing the sky filled with color and motion!
The kites will be flown over the festival grounds and can be seen from most all areas. There will not be interactive kites or activities, this is a special presentation of kites from local enthusiasts.
Mutton Bustin' Mania
Friday, April 10, Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12
Hold on tight and get ready for Mutton Bustin’ Mania — the cutest, most thrilling rodeo event for little cowboys and cowgirls! Kids climb aboard a woolly sheep and try to hang on for as long as they can while the crowd cheers them on. It’s all about fun, laughter, and bragging rights as young riders test their balance, bravery, and cowboy spirit.
Perfect for families and festival-goers of all ages, Mutton Bustin’ Mania is sure to be a highlight of Windfest — full of giggles, excitement, and unforgettable memories. Cheer, snap photos, and celebrate the courage of our tiniest rodeo stars!
Registration is free but is first come first serve. Register at Mutton Bustin' Mania event arena at Windfest.
Windfest Parade

We’re thrilled to celebrate Windfest’s 51st year with you! Hosted by the Portland Chamber of Commerce and The City of Portland! Join us on Saturday, April 11th, for a day filled with excitement and community spirit. We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with you! This year's theme is Celebrate America 250 in honor of the 250th Anniversary of signing the Declaration of Independence. We ask that you join us in this historic milestone for our nation and commemorate with us by decorating in the theme to honor the contributions of all Americans and our nation's past.
Event Lineup begins Thursday, April 9th at 6pm, and the parade will start promptly at 6:30pm. Please see the parade route below. We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with you!
Run Like the Wind 5K & Family 1 Mile Walk
Saturday, April 11
Join us for the Run with the Wind 5K & 1 Mile Family Walk at Windfest, proudly presented by the Portland TX Rotary Club!
This exciting event is perfect for runners of all levels, offering a chance to enjoy the coastal breeze while supporting a great cause. Lace up your shoes and meet us at Windfest on April 11th at 8am for a fun-filled morning of fitness, community, and friendly competition. Proceeds will benefit local Rotary projects, so come run, walk, or cheer us on as we make strides together!
Location:TM Clark Elementary back lot across from the Portland Skatepark (2004 Billy G Webb Drive). Note that there will not be access from Cedar Drive.
Packet Pick Up: Friday, April 10th from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm at Farmers Insurance 904 Memorial Pkwy, Portland, TX 78374 and the day of the race Saturday, April 11th at 7:00 am (where the race begins).

Signing up for the Windfest Cornhole Tournament is quick and easy using the Scoreholio app. Follow the steps below to get registered and ready to play.
Step 1: Download the Scoreholio App.
Visit the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) on your mobile device. Search for Scoreholio and download the app. Once installed, open the app to begin setup.
Step 2: Create Your Account.
When you open the app for the first time, you will be prompted to create a free account. Enter your name, email address, and create a username so tournament organizers can identify you.
Step 3: Find the Windfest Tournament.
After logging in, tap the “Find Tournaments” or search feature and type Windfest. Select the Windfest Cornhole Tournament from the list of available events.
Step 4: Register for Your Division.
Choose the tournament division you want to play in (such as Upper Big Boy Division, Lowers Singles, or other available brackets). Follow the prompts to complete your registration.
Step 5: Check In and Play
On tournament day, open the Scoreholio app to check in, view your bracket, see match assignments, and track scores in real time.
Using Scoreholio helps keep the tournament organized and allows players to easily follow match schedules and standings throughout the event.
Be sure to register early, as tournament spots may be limited!
Windfest Pickleball Tournament
Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12
We're excited to bring together players of all skill levels for a day of fun, competition, and sportsmanship. Register your team or individually. Registration fees start at $40 per entry and include your pass into Windfest gates. Parking is not included. Register for two days at $75 per entry and save.
The 2026 Windfest Pickleball Tournament will be run by the Coastal Bend Pickleball Association and a portion of the proceeds will benefit their mission to foster the play of pickleball in the Coastal Bend for educational, health, and charitable purposes.
